Wama Sarathi Sangh Hosts Grand Cultural Evening on Hariyali Teej in Gonda

Gonda: A grand cultural evening was organised by the Wama Sarathi Sangh at the multipurpose hall of the Reserve Police Lines, Gonda, on the occasion of Hariyali Teej. The programme celebrated the traditional festival while promoting women’s empowerment, social harmony and cultural values among police families.

The event was presided over by Dr Tanvi Jaiswal, president of Wama Sarathi Sangh. The programme aimed to provide women with a platform to celebrate the festive spirit of Teej while strengthening bonds of friendship and camaraderie among members of police families.

Women and children from police families participated enthusiastically in a variety of cultural activities, including a mehendi competition, singing, dancing, poetry recitation and a fashion show. Their performances received an enthusiastic response from the audience.

Traditional folk songs and dances were among the highlights of the evening, bringing alive the cultural significance and festive spirit associated with Hariyali Teej. The performances also provided participants an opportunity to showcase their creativity and talent.

The programme concluded with collective Teej songs and a festive celebration in which the participants joined enthusiastically. The event further strengthened Wama Sarathi Sangh’s role as a vibrant social and cultural platform for women and police families, while providing an opportunity to celebrate traditions and encourage participation and empowerment.
